Spring is the time of new beginnings, renewal, hope, and planting.   We are undergoing great change and healing right now on our planet. With all the fear, negativity, panic, uncertainty in the daily news, and even more so now with the COVID-19 pandemic drastically changing our lives and the way we live, it’s easy to be discouraged and forget about the kind, caring, loving world we live in. Now more than ever we need to remember and plant-loving acts of kindness and compassion for ourselves and others and cultivate the world we want to live in.

Acts of loving-kindness such as reaching out to others via phone, text message or video during this time to check-in on them see how they are doing,  sending a card in the mail, singing from the balconies like those in Italy, making face masks for those in need and the essential workers working on the front lines, practicing social distancing and only purchasing what you need are some acts of kindness you practice now.

I am so grateful for the countless people in my life that subtly and boldly help me plant and nourish my field of dreams on a daily basis from my family, friends, teachers, to strangers with their loving kindness. In my piece, ” Planting the Fields of Dreams”, published in Goodness Abounds, I share the generosity of a friend of mine nourishing my decision to go back to school. Planting the Field of Dreams by Isabella Rose My passion for living an all-natural lifestyle began in my early 20s, when I saw a nutritionist, began reading books by Elson Haas, and participated in a weekly yoga class. Several years later, I started reading books on aromatherapy and was introduced to Reiki. In my mid-30s, I wanted to become more involved in the alternative-health field and, although I still had many doubts, I started to consider a career in it. I became Reiki-I certified and began attending occasional meditation classes. As I started learning more about myself and connecting to my soul, the Angelic realm, and my spirituality, I decided I wanted to go back to school. I shared with a close friend of mine that I was taking aromatherapy classes at an online career school. Michael was happy to hear this and said, “It sounds like it is up and coming in the health and wellness field.” He also offered to pay for my classes. I was stunned! I thanked him but declined. I was already enrolled in a payment plan, and I felt uncomfortable accepting such a generous offer. No one had ever invested in me or my future like this before. I wondered how I would ever repay him or show my gratitude and appreciation? With further conversation, however, I graciously accepted the offer and agreed to complete the program and get good grades (which I did). I took Angel-meditation and aromatherapy classes while continuing to study other holistic-health modalities independently. Again, Michael offered to help with my education, this time paying for half of one of my Angel Messenger courses. As I progressed further in my studies, we started talking about my plans for the future and what I wanted to do with my certification once I completed it. He shared with me his vision and hopes to one day see me with my own storefront and product line. This vision is already coming true, as I’m just starting to make my aromatherapy products available to others, am in the process of earning my Doctorate of Natural Medicine degree, and plan on opening a healing center in the future. I see now that all these were seeds planting my field of dreams…and nurtured by a special, generous friend who always believed in me.

“Planting the Field of Dreams” was first published in the bestselling collaborative book, Goodness Abounds: 365 True Stories of Loving Kindness [DandiLove, 2017).

I have been and continue to be blessed with an abundance of nourishment to turn these seeds and the seeds of some of my childhood dreams such as becoming a published author,  artist, holistic health practitioner, and guide so that I may be of service and help others heal and turn into blossoming flowers also.  I am often touched and inspired by the many people who are willing to help me succeed whether it be words of encouragement, giving feedback, or a helping hand. These loving acts of kindness I receive on a daily basis gives me hope and faith that there are caring, kind, and compassionate
